Subject: 2010 Trail Work Day / Creek Clean-up on Saturday, April 17th

The Friends of Stevens Creek Trail and the City of Mountain View hosted their annual Trail Work Day / Stevens Creek Clean-up Day this year on Saturday, April 17th.
67 participants showed up to help keep their favorite trail in tip-top shape.

This year's activities were slightly limited due to heavy late rains that meant lots of water still flowing in the creek and kept volunteers out. Ever resourceful volunteers used pool nets, hooks, and other tools to get out the trash. Some of them had to pair up and relay the trash from the middle of the creek to the bank. Meanwhile, other volunteers worked on painting of fences, signposts and trash cans.

As has become a tradition, pizza was served at the end to replenish the hard working crew (sponsored by Blucoat, Inc.). There was great teamwork and people had a great time.
