Volunteer with the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail

We are always looking for Volunteers to help with our projects!

The Stevens Creek Trail would not exist and progress as it does without dedicated volunteers. Our staff and existing volunteers will work with you to match your interests, skills, and availability to our projects. Whether you want to contribute to campaigning, creative activities, networking, or bring your own ideas; the more the merrier.

As a volunteer you can practice skills, explore your interests, meet new people, and accomplish goals. Check out Volunteer Of The Year to meet some of the incredible volunteers at FoSCT.

Please contact our Executive Director to register your interest or if you have any specific questions about volunteering. When we have an active volunteer need for a specific event, we have a quick form for you use to easily register. See below form for more details about how you can get involved.

Volunteering Activities

There are a variety of opportunities available for you to use your love of the outdoors to help the Trail. Our major events are the Trailblazer Race and Stevens Creek Trail Cleanup, but scroll down and click the to find out about all our volunteering opportunities!

About the Board

The Friends' Board is volunteers only. We routinely invite a some volunteers to attend our Board meetings and aspiring Board members may also be invited to attend. Our goal is to have members from each of the cities along Stevens Creek representing the diversity of our community.

How to Join

Once there is a match between the interests of the candidates and what we are looking for, we ask for a formal application. The next stage involves meeting(s) with an interview panel.

What it Involves

A Board member generally puts in 5 to 10 hours per month for us in addition to attending the monthly Board meetings. Our Board usually has a Student Board member as well.

We're Recruiting

At this time we look to increase the diversity on our Board and also to bring on a new Student Board member.

The Friends is looking to expand our capacity and expertise in fundraising and communications. We are in the process of recruiting members who share our vision and want to help further our mission by joining one of these new committees.

The Fundraising Committee is looking for individuals with experience in:

  • Fundraising from Corporations
  • Fundraising from Individuals
  • Organizing Fundraising events
  • Applying for grants

After completing a project to improve fish passage in Stevens Creek within Deep Cliff Golf Course, we need to do followup annual monitoring to be sure it continues to be stable and perform as designed. We need volunteers to help with this. Please check this volunteer description for more details.
