Executive Director: Thanks for the Big Turnout at the Creek Clean-up |
Subject: Thanks for the Big Turnout at the Creek Clean-up Date: 2005/4/18 Time: 01:42 PM -0700 GMT Hi everyone - Thanks for the Big Turnout at the Creek Clean-up on Saturday, 16 April 2005! My count of volunteers was 43 from Friends of Stevens Creek Trail, 32 from Synopsys, and 17 from Target Store in Mountain View. That totals 92, which is the biggest turn-out I'm aware of! I think everyone had a good time and appreciated all the support and organization from the Mountain View Parks and Rec staff. Jenny Yee was very effective at coordinating the Synopsys team and was wonderful to work with at the front table! I think this was the first participation from Target Stores, so special thanks to HR manager Dave Jones and Store manager Paul Bennie. Please let me know who made the initial contact with you so that I can thank them as well. I also want to credit Felix with doing a great job of organizing your team! Our next big event is the 11th Trailblazer Race and Walk on Sunday morning September 25th, starting at the Microsoft campus off Shoreline by highway 101. Please mark your calendar - we need about 200 volunteers for that event! Thanks again! Aaron Grossman, Interim Executive Director Friends of Stevens Creek Trail |
