Thank you for considering becoming a sponsor of the 2009 Trailblazer Race!
You can be an event sponsor and get great visibility for your business or organization! All sponsors at $500 and above have their logo displayed on our race t-shirt and posters. We will also hang their banner up to 4' X 6' in size from our race start/finish arch, so that all runners pass under it twice. Alternatively, you could be the sole sponsor of a mile-marker banner that goes over the runners on the race course marking each mile. Your name and/or logo would be the only sponsor featured on that banner. Mile markers 1 and 3 are still available. Additional promotion is provided over the PA system. Send us your logo in hi-res electronic form as soon as possible if you will be a sponsor at $500 or above. The Trailblazer is a morning of fun, healthy activities for the whole family. The 10K & 5K Races are scenic, fast and flat USATF certified running courses on Stevens Creek Trail and in Shoreline Park. The three mile Trail Walk is entirely on the trail. Free childrens' races on grass and sidewalk at Microsoft follow the adult events. Free food, water, and entertainment are provided. A drawing for valuable prizes is held at the end of the event for registered participants. Complimentary secured bicycle parking is offered. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail and Wildlife Corridor, the only organization dedicated to extending Stevens Creek Trail and wildlife corridor from Shoreline Park on SF Bay in Mountain View to the Cupertino hills, connecting to mountain trails on to the Pacific coast. Begun in 1993, the trail currently extends four and a half miles in Mountain View. Cupertino completed a ¾ mile section of the trail on July 4, 2009. Los Altos has begun trail studies for its sections, and Sunnyvale is considering action on trail planning. The Friends is a 501(C)3 nonprofit that organizes public and private trail support, trail and creek clean-ups, and education programs. Individual cities along Stevens Creek actually build the trail, but it takes many years of preparation and work behind the scenes to achieve that. Increasing public awareness, support, and consensus must come first, which is what the Friends does. Thank you for your interest and support! To get started, contact
