We are always looking for Volunteers to help with our projects!
The Stevens Creek Trail would not exist and progress as it does without dedicated volunteers. Our staff and existing volunteers will work with you to match your interests, skills, and availability to our projects. Whether you want to contribute to campaigning, creative activities, networking, or bring your own ideas; the more the merrier.
As a volunteer you can practice skills, explore your interests, meet new people, and accomplish goals. Check out Volunteer Of The Year to meet some of the incredible volunteers at FoSCT.
Please contact our Executive Director if you have any specific questions about volunteering, otherwise we have a quick form for you to easily register your interest. See below the form for more details about how you can get involved.
There are a variety of opportunities available for you to use your love of the outdoors to help the Trail. Our major events are the Trailblazer Race and Stevens Creek Trail Cleanup, but scroll down and click the to find out about all our volunteering opportunities!
You can join us every year to help restore the Stevens Creek Trail corridor to its full health - see Events for more details.
Check our dedicated Trailblazer Race page for more information about our biggest and best-loved annual event, and to sign up to help.

If you're happy for us to use your photos, let us know - we're always looking for images of the trail and the flora and fauna that can be found along it.
We are also working on fish conservation in the creek - sign up to our newsletter to stay up to date!
Are you always looking for ways to apply your design skills? You can apply your talents to our ongoing design projects including logos, videos, websites, event materials and more.
The Friends' Board is volunteers only. We routinely invite a some volunteers to attend our Board meetings and aspiring Board members may also be invited to attend. Our goal is to have members from each of the cities along Stevens Creek representing the diversity of our community.
Once there is a match between the interests of the candidates and what we are looking for, we ask for a formal application. The next stage involves meeting(s) with an interview panel.
A Board member generally puts in 5 to 10 hours per month for us in addition to attending the monthly Board meetings. Our Board usually has a Student Board member as well.
At this time we look to increase the diversity on our Board and also to bring on a new Student Board member.
Trails aren’t just for hiking! We are always looking to support diverse use of the trail and if you’re a keen cycling enthusiast we’d love to hear from you. We are also seeking corporate sponsorship to support bike to work schemes.
Can you help bring new visitors to the trail? Maybe you enjoy other trails and would like to let people know about them? Hop on social media and remember to tag FoSCT and other trails, so that we can share your experiences and people can find out more!
Feel strongly about preserving and enjoying our outdoor spaces? So do we. You can help us ensure that the funding we need is available and that local government is aware of the benefits of trails and remains committed to funding upgrade projects. If you and your friends take little ones out into nature we have some activities that we’d love to share, and we’re always open to ideas. Learn about plants and animals by participating in scavenger hunt games - and if you want to help with family-friendly resources, let us know.
